A Little About Me?

Iiiiii... am not a big fan of writing these things.

I'm 20. I'm a girl. I have short hair. There's me on the left doing a cartwheel. Well, sort of a cartwheel. Just imagine I'm straightening my legs and pointing toes and all... I've just finished my second year at Bristol, studying music. Great fun (and, bonus, I passed XD), but I missed my dog so much!! (Yes, yes, we have a pollicle at home. She's a Cairn Terrier called Bonnie and she is SO CUTE. And I am rather obsessed with dogs and cute furry things in general (and I'm the sort of person who finds most any sort of dog, from Pit Bull Terriers to Greyhounds SO CUTE..). No one here at uni seems to understand why I squee "DOG!!! LOOK!! HOW CUTE!!" whenever I see one... alas. Oh, I love cats too! Only you don't see them walking around so much attached to people, you understand, being as how cats are so much more sopistiqué than that... I think cats quite like me in general too, which is nice... also interesting as I also happen to be allergic to most of them... the situation is often something like: "AWWW!! HELLOOO CAT!!! ...I mean.... *steps back, doffs hat* O, Cat!... *cat comes up and says hello* ...ohh, you're so cute... gah, but you're making me all sneezy, but you're SO CUUUUTE...") Anyway. Yeah. Music! That's cool too. I want to be a composer for film/tv/radio/theatre/etc. I love music... and stories, and theatre and drama and pretty shiny artsy dramaticcy things in general. I tend to get VERY OBSESSED with things and find out everything about them (and, formerly, make websites ^^). I sort of assumed this was normal, but apparently some people don't behave this way! Weird. Some of my obsessions are... obviously, CATS... Final Fantasy. Shakespeare (esp Othello and Twelfth Night). Tom Stoppard (esp Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead). The French Revolution (no, seriously. In a very fandom-esque way. But I know what I'm talking about.) ReBoot. Narnia. Dragonheart. Les Mis. Newsies. The Great Mouse Detective... The Oxfordshire Rising!! Only a couple attentive A-level historians and a few others will have ANY idea about that last one. But the 510th anniversary was last year!! (1595-2006)

Hahahaaa, that was an EVIL RUN ON PARAGRAPH OF DOOM. Well, serves you right for wanting to know about me!!

...Anyway :) Heh. Rather more seriously and to the point-- I was going to say "I'm a Christian", but that perhaps could do with a bit of explanation, so, um, here goes:
I'm a stupid - and a lot worse than stupid - kid that God (perfect, shiny-fire, universe-creator) loves to an apparently ridiculous degree. Enough for God-> man - my God, Jesus, to die so that everything could be right for me, so that I could be forgiven every act of stupidity and selfishness and so that I could be in the relationship with God that I was made to be in (...which in itself is actually rather mind boggly.) Which is awesome. And I love him and love means wanting the best for the one you love... I really want that, though it's hard, and that's something I've been learning a ton about, especially recently. And, ohh I cannot express this properly!! At least, not briefly. But it's the best thing. And you should check it out if you haven't already. And I'm definitely up for a chat if any of what I just said 1. interests you 2. confuses you 3. irritates you, or.. whatever ^__^

You can find me at my livejournal, although since uni updates have been... sporadic at best. And my MUSIC site.

CATS-me-related things!

Rumpelteazer is my alter-ego! I love her because she's so bouncy and hyper a lot of time and apparently I giggle like her sometimes, usually when I'm not meaning to... She also has a more serious side, it just doesn't get shown to a lot of people :)

Rum Tum Tugger is certainly the main focus of my fangirling energies in the CATS fandom. This is because... he is absolutely irrestible XD That is all! (Also, he was sooo smiling at me last year when we caught the tour!!! ^_^ Though I know certain people will disagree...) It's odd... at first I was pretty immune to his charms, but I think when I hit sixteen or so..... WHAM! I found out what I'd been missing!

Jemima was my first love... Watching the video for the first time, I completely fell in love with her voice, and the way she was prepared to accept Grizabella back and brave enough to say so when no one else would. I was having a lot of hang-ups at that time about innocence/naïvete and their existance and the difference between them... and she just really fit with these thoughts. And I still love her to this day, in fact. Now I guess I particularly identify with her madcap/thoughtful nature. Plus...... well, there's always been something intangibly wonderful about this kitten!

CATS live is one of the most brilliant exhilerating experiences. EVER.

Even seeing CATS on DVD after not seeing it for a year (this was sometime last year, I believe)... was certainly the most exciting thing that had happened to me in what felt like months! (sad life I lead you may think, but... well, you had to be there, I guess. I was just spellbound, transfixed to the spot at the beginning of Jellicle Songs... then flying around the room, squealing down the house and bouncing off the furniture.)

The Great Rumpus Cat is underappreciated, man!! And, yep, I can draw tenuous connections between him and myself too! In that... he's a bit 'weird' some would think. And he can't dance. That's me :)

Bombalurina is someone I've more recently come to love. There's a LOT more to her than the confident, popular, sexy girl everyone wants/wants to be/hates~

...Ok, so now get out of here. go HOME
